As promised, here’s the recording of the session we had today.
Here’s a brief look at the agenda (What we were able to cover in the session is in white)

This entire thing started with my indignation — at the time — at anybody trying to make a buck off onboarding newbies into Crypto. (I like to tell this story as) @knightofdelta giving me enough rope to tie around my neck, by asking if I would onboard newbies, for free. Of course, I took up the gauntlet. How hard could it be? That was my thought until the requests began pouring in. 😳😳😳
I spun up a sign up form and 700+ signed up. 😳🤯🙆🏾♂️
While I’ve given this breakdown of ‘Crypto’ several times verbally, it took me 3 hours to prepare the slides for this session. Only to find out on the morning of, that I can’t randomly send emails to 700 people even though I am not a spammer 😅. Of course, right after, I learnt that it costs a Bajillion Dollars to upgrade Zoom enough to host a room that can contain 700 people. I tried to start a Youtube Live, but then it takes 24 hours to approve my account for the first time. 😅
Eventually, my good friend Tosin offered to let us use her platforms at @themoneyafrica to email all the interested parties AND use their Zoom account. And she didn’t ask for my kidneys in return. Just my Liver. Decent bargain tbh.
I reckon it was an okay session. I was lucky to get a really smart and engaging audience. Even though the session fit right into 2 hours, I don’t know that we fully got even the basics (I wanted to walk folks (especially in Nigeria) through buying Crypto using P2P and talk about Hardware wallets and the like) that I had planned. But I reckon that it’s a good start. I am full on reluctant to commit to a follow-up session because this one was stressful for me, at every turn. 😩💀
That said, I hope watching this video is useful, at the very least, in helping reduce a lot of the haziness that you might find when people around you, are talking about Crypto.
